Federal Court Docket Searching

Findlaw's free "Litigation Watch" legal research tool retrieves initial dockets from U.S. District Court filings via the Internet at http://corporate.findlaw.com/scripts/dkt_search.pl. The database covers numerous federal district courts in 41 states and can be searched by industry groups, sub-industry groups, company name, and stock ticker.

JPO Design Gazette

Starting March 22, 2004, the Japanese Patent Office will provide free access to an English-language version of the Design Gazette DB, which was previously searchable only in Japanese. More information on the JPO's Intellectual Property Digital Library is available at http://www.ipdl.jpo.go.jp/homepg_e.ipdl.

Esp@cenet Virtual Classroom

On March 30, 2004 the European Patent Office will launch its introductory virtual classroom session on searching the esp@cenet patent database. More information on training resources for patent searchers is downloadable at http://www.european-patent-

INTA Members-Only Website

The INTA Members Only Site at http://www.inta.org/members/ has now been expanded to include the "INTA Knowledgebase" with four years of The Trademark Reporter, Board Resolutions, and other INTA publications; "Lanham Act Surveys" with selected opinions referencing survey evidence published between 1998 and 2003; "Country Guides: Basic Information on Trademark Registration Worldwide" with practical information on trademark filing, prosecution, registration, maintenance and enforcement on a country-by-country basis; and the "INTA Trade Dress Image Library" with images compiled from various trade dress infringement cases.
